Career
As a junior player, he won the Australian Open boy’s singles event in 2011. In the same year, he won the Aussie Open boy’s doubles event while paired with Luke Saville. He reached No.1 in the world juniors ranking.In 2013, he debuted for the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup. In the same year, he also qualified to play in the French Open. That year, he also broke into the Top 100 and was the youngest player in the range at the time.
In the following year, he had his first Grand Slam match win at the 2014 French Open. He made it to the third round. In 2014, he made it to the third round of the US Open and in 2016, he had a fourth-round finish in Wimbledon. In 2017, he would make it to the third round of the French Open.
One of the biggest wins in his career was when he beat Novak Djokovic in the second round at Monte Carlo in 2016. He would face up against and beat Djokovic a second time at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships quarterfinals.
