“I know it’s going to be difficult,” said Henin when asked about the game against Stosur.

In the men’s game, Roger Federer won against Stanislas Wawrinka and he is set to face 5th-seeded Robin Soderling in Tuesday’s quarterfinals. Federer and Soderling have a standing record of 12-0 games in favor of Federer.

“Obviously, that’s a good record to have,” said Federer, “But because of the improvements he’s made, he’s an opponent not to underestimate.”roger federer

There are some speculations that the Williams sisters will make an All-Williams finals at Roland Garros. That, however, has been dashed as Venus exits in the 4th round of the French Open. She lost to Nadia Petrova, who was seeded at No. 19. Venus Williams claims that the conditions at the Open weren’t that ideal for a win.

“I don’t think the conditions are always ideal here. … You might not be used to it or you might not get a good bounce,” said the No. 2-seeded Williams, who began the day 29-4 this season, including 15-2 on clay. “That’s just the way this tournament goes.”

All of William’s seven major titles came from either the US Open or from Wimbledon. She has only made it to the semi-finals of the French Open once and that was back in 2002 when she lost to her sister Serena.
