Deportivo Armenio were founded in 1962 as Club Armenio de Futbol and was primarily for members of the Armenian community in Argentina. The name was changed in 1964 after they became a part of the Argentine football Association. The team’s red and white strips have mainly been seen ni the lower level leagues and are now a familiar part of the Primera B Metropolitana level.

The club has had a brief stint at the highest level in the Argentine Primera division while finishing 13th, their highest ever standing on the league tables. Their biggest moment during that time was thei 2-0 win away to River Plate during the 1987-88 season.

Titles

The team has only one title to boast of during their many years of football and that is the Primera B Nacional title won during the 1986-87 season.
