Al-Ahly Sporting Club is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo. They currently feature in the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly were established in April 1907 and started to dominate domestic Egyptian in the 1940s. They won the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1982 and then in 1987, thereby establishing themselves as one of the giants of continental football in Africa.

Al-Ahly won the African Champions League again in 2001, 2005, 2006 and 2008 and have also triumphed in the Egyptian Premier League 34 times.
Al-Ahly play their home matches at the Cairo Stadium that can accommodate 74,100 spectators. They bear the nickname “The Red Devils”.
