Olimpo de Bahia Blanca is a sports club from the city of Bahia Blanca, in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1910, and besides football, basketball is a major activity for the club. The reason is that Bahia Blanca is the Argentine basketball capital, and hence a major part of Olimpo’s efforts and activities are dedicated to this sport.

The football team began picking up steam at the latter half of the 1990s and soon was playing in the first division by the former half of the 2000s. Nicknamed Aurinegros, or Gold and Blacks, the team colors are also the same. In the 2006-07 season, the team won both the Clausura and the Apertura tournaments and this resulted in Olimpo playing in the top division for the following season.
