The Pachuca Club de Fútbol> is a Mexican football team which is based in Pachuca, Hidalgo. This team competes in the Mexican Primera Division and is nicknamed as Tuzos (Gophers). The club was founded in 1901 and the Chairman of the team is Jesus Martinez Patino. Pablo Marini is the Manager of the club. Some of the present players of the team include Miguel Calero, Marco Perez, Edy Brambila, Edgar Benitez, Carlos Rodriguez and many more. The notable player’s squad includes Damian Alvarez, Ignacio Gonzalez, Christian Gimenez and many others.

Till date, the Pachuca Club de Futbol has won many tournaments. These include the Copa Tower twice, in 1907-08 and in 1911-12. They won the Copa Pachuca thrice, in 2000, 2004 and in 2009. Apart from this, the club even won the Carlsberg Cup along with the Copa Amistad in 2008.

Pachuca is the first Mexican team and CONCACAF team to have won a CONMEBOL championship. The is team is also the only team in the world which has won the club competition in a Confederation outside on their own.

Major Achievements

The club various recognition and titles so far, like at the Professional era, they won the Primera División de México five times, which are Invierno 1999, Invierno 2001, Apertura 2003, Clausura 2006 and Clausura 2007. They won the Primera División A twice, in 1995-96 and in Invierno 1997. The club also won the Segunda División de México Cup once in 1965-66 and the Segunda División B de México in 1987-88.

Amateur era saw this club winning the Campeonato del Distrito Federal thrice in 1904-05, 1917-18 and in 1919-20. At the International level, the club won the CONCACAF Champions’ Cup / Champions League four times, in 2002, 2007, 2008 and in 2009–10. They even won the North American SuperLiga once in 2007 and the Copa Sudamericana in 2006.
