The Sheffield Wednesday Football Club> is a football club which is based in Sheffield in South of Yorkshire. This team will be competing in the Football League One in 2010-11 in England. The team is considered as one of the oldest professional clubs in the world and also the third oldest in the English league. Until 1929, they were named as the ‘Wednesday’ and also as the ’Owls’. In 1889, they were the founding members of the Football Alliance, being the first champions in their inaugural season.
When the leagues merged, the Wednesday had joined the Football League after three years. In 1992, this team became one of the founding members of the Premier League. The main rival teams of the team are Sheffield United, with the local rival teams being Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley.

League First Division: the team won in First Division for four times, in 1902-1903, 1903-1904, 1928-1929 and in 1929-1930. They won the Second once in 1960-1961.
