Free State Stars is a South African football club based in Bethlehem, Free State province. They currently feature in the Premier Soccer League.
Free State Stars were established in 1979. Previously they were known as Qwa Qwa Stars. In 2002 the club’s franchise was sold to the Premier Soccer League in 2002.
Free State Stars was bought by Mike Makoena in 2003. Stars gained promotion back to the Premier Soccer League in 2005 after they won the Mvela Golden League. But they suffered relegation after one season and bounced back at the end of th 2007-2008 season.

Free State Stars play their home matches at Gobel Park that can accommodate 20,000 spectators. They bear the nickname “Fight to the end”.
