Klubi Sportiv Bylis Ballsh were established in 1972 as Ballshi i Ri and featured in the Albanian Superliga for the first time in their history in the 1997-1998 season.
Ballsh played in the Albanian Second Division in the 2006-2007 season and gained promotion to the Albanian First Division for the 2007-2008 season. They won the division and earned promotion to the Albanian top flight for the 2008-2009 season.
