Kaposvari Rakoczi FC is a Hungarian football club based in Kaposvar. They currently feature in the Hungarian first division.
Kaposvari were established on August 15,1923 as the Rakoczi Sport Club by workers of a local sugar factory. The club was initially an amateur one but in 1924 played their first professiona match against MAV I. They then started to move betwee the NB III and the NB II.
In 19060 Kaposvari won the NB III under the name Kaposvar Kinizsi. In 1970 they assumed back their name Rakoczi. In 1971 they were relegated to the NB III but bounced back immediately. In 1973 they were promoted to the first division and their first top flight match in Hungarian football was against Vasas SC which they won 2-0.
But Kaposvari returned to the top flight in the 2000s.
Kaposvari play their home matches at the Stadion Rakoczi that can accomodate 7,000 spectators.

Kaposvari were soon relegated from the first division but bounced back. They played their final season in the Hungarian top flight until the new millennium until 1987 as they spent the rest of the 1980s and the 1990s in the second and the third division.
