Paksi SE

Paksi SE is a Hungarian football club based in Paks. They currently feature in the Hungarian first division.

Paksi SE were established in 1952 and initially started playing in the Tolna county at the country level . In 1970 they won the county championship and were prpmoted to NB III in the central decision. But before long they were relegated back to the county championship but soon bounced back.

Paksi continued to move to and fro of NB III and throughout the 1980s came close to gaining promotion to the NBII. They won the NB III in 2001 and then in the 2005-2006 season won the NB II Western Division and gained promotion to the Hungarian top flight for the first time in their history.
