NK Varteks is a Croatian football club based in the city of Varazdin in the northern part of the country. THey currently feature in the Croatian first division.

NK Varteks play their home matches at the Stadion Varteks that has a capacity of 10,000. Their supporters are known as the White Stones.

NK Varteks were established on June 3,1931 as NK Slaviji and played under this name until 1941. They temporarily ceased to exist during World War II and were then known as NK Tekstilac in 1945. In 1958 they added ‘Varteks’ to their name.

NK Varteks play their home matches at the Stadion Varteks that can house 10,000 spectators. They bear the nicknames “Tailors” and “Bumblebees”.

Varteks qualified to feature in the premier League of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1938 and reached the final of the Yugoslav Cup in 1961. They were one of the founding members of the Prva HNL in 1991 but have yet to win the league. They reached the last eight stage of the now defunct UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999 and have been consistent in finishing in the top five in the Croatian first division.
