Athletic Club Omonia Nicosia is a Cypriot football club based in the capital city of Nicosia. They currently feature in the Cypriot First Division and are one of the most successful clubs of Cyprus.
Athletic Club Omonia Nicosia were established in 1948 and became a member of the Cyprus Football Association in 1953. They dominated Cypriot football in the 1970s and the 1980s and won the league straight from 1974 to 1979. They wn the league again from 1981 to 1985 and then in 1987 and 1989.
Omonia won the league again in the 1992-1993 season and had to wait until 2003 to clinch their 19th league title.
