Vitesse Arnhem

Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse is a Dutch football club based in Arnhem. They currently feature in the Eredivisie.

Vitesse were established on May 14,1892 and althought they have had quite some success in Dutch domestic football, they have never been considered Dutch powerhouse. In the 1980s they were threatened with bankruptcy but the formation of a new administrative board rescued them. Vitesse were confronted with a similar situation in this decade but the Arnhem city council saved them.

Vitesse Arnhem play their home matches at the Gelredome that can accommodate 26,600 spectators.
