Beijing Guoan Football Club is a Chinese football club based in the city of Beijing. They currently feature in the Chinese Super League and finished 2nd in the league in 2007.

Beijing Guoan were established in 1992 after the Chinese domestic football was reformed. The club was set up by the CITIC Guoan Group and the Beijing Municipal Sports Committee.

Beijing Guoan finished second in the Chinese top flight in 1995 and then third in 1997,1998 and 2002. In 2003 the club signed an endorsement deal with the Beijing Hyundai Motor Company and altered their name to Beijing Hyundai Motor Football Team.

The club reached the final of the Chinese FA Cup five times and won on three occasions. In 2006 the contract with the Beijing Hyuandai Motor Company expired and the club’s original name was restored.

Beijing Guoan recently sold a part of its ownership to Spanish and European giants Real Madrid.

Beijing Guoan play their home matches at the Beijing Fengtai Stadium that can accommodate 33,000 spectators.
