Dante Rafael Lopez Farina is a professional Paraguayan footballer who plays as a striker. Lopez began his playing career in Paraguay, in 1998, with Sol De America. A bit of a travelling footballer, Lopez played at Sol De America for 3 seasons, playing just 21 games as he struggled to make an impact with his 3 goals.

Lopez moved to Cerro Porteno in search of first team action in 2002. Just a goal and six games later, he moved to Europe to play with Maccabi Haifa in Israel. At the end of the season, after 10 appearances (most of them as a substitute), he moved to Spain to play for Cordoba CF. Lopez played 14 games for Cordoba before moving to Nacional, of Paraguay, in 2004-05.

It was in Nacional that Lopez had a fine season, the first in many years, scoring 11 goals in 27 games as a part of the starting lineup at Nacional. He moved to Olimpia Asuncion at the end of the 2004-05 season and played 19 games for the club, scoring 12 goals, his highest tally for a season. A wonderful season led to a call from Italy, with clubs like Napoli and Genoa looking for his signature. Lopez was the highest scorer in the first division, during his season with Nacional.

Lopez joined Genoa in 2005-06 but failed to make a similar impact, scoring just twice in his 13 appearances. He moved to Crotone, in Serie C, and played the entire season whilst struggling to break tight Italian defenses. Five goals in 36 appearances saw him move out to Club Libertad, back home in Paraguay. At the international stage, Lopez got picked for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, as part of the Paraguay national team.

He helped the club win the 2008 Apertura title with 5 goals in 18 appearances. Despite not being a regular starter, Lopez was quite proficient when brought on as a substitute and made a big impact.

He moved to Pumas UNAM in 2008 and helped the team win the 2009 Clausura tournament. A regular starter for the Pumas, Lopez has scored 13 goals in almost 60 games for the club.
