Karim Ziani

Karim Ziani is an Algerian international football player who currently features for the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He plays as a midfielder.

Karim Ziani commenced his professional club football career at French club Troyes in 2000 and played for them until 2004, featuring in 64 league matches. He then signed for Lorient in 2005 and played for them for the 2005-2006 season.

Ziani played for Sochaux for the 2006-2007 season and signed for Marseille in 2007. He spent two successful years at Marseille and was signed by 2008-2009 German champions VfL Wolfsburg for 5 million euros in July 2009.

Karim Ziani made his international debut for Algeria in 2003 and played in the 2004 African Nations Cup. He performed brilliantly in the competition, helping his team reach the final of the competition and was named as the best player in his position in the competition.
