An Argentine defender from Buenos Aires, Eduardo Nicolas Tuzzio, began his football career with San Lorenzo de Almagro in 1993. He remained with the club for two years, till he was transferred to Quilmes, where he remained only for one season. He returned to San Lorenzo and remained with the club till 2001, when he was transferred once again, this time to Olympique Marseille, which is a top division team in the French league. He played with the club for two seasons and then returned to Argentina to join River Plate, in 2003. During his term with the club he played a season for RCD Mallorca, a Spanish club from the La Liga, and returned to River Plate in 2006.
Tuzzio is a first choice defender with the team and has been instrumental in several wins, including the opening day match where he scored a goal in the last minute of the game. Tuzzio also holds an Italian passport, and has attended the training camp for the 2007 Copa America.
