Renato Corsi
American by birth, Argentine by choice, Renato Corsi became the first American to play professional football in Argetina's Primera Division. His decision to move to Argentinos Juniors, in 1983, paid great dividends after he won back-to-back league titles with the club in 1984 & 1985. The success didn't stop at just the league, with the Copa Libertadores and Copa Interamericana titles also annexed in that period.
Despite a successful period, his next two seasons were spent at two lesser clubs, Instituto de Cordoba and Deportivo Armenio. Three years at Atlanta was followed by an equally poor season at Deportivo Moron, before Corsi decided to end his career at Fort Lauderdale Strikers, back in the USA.
