Aaron James Ramsey is a young Wales international football player who currently features for OGN Nice and Wales. He plays as a central midfielder but is versatile enough to play as a winger or as a fullback and is regarded as one of the best young players in the world.

Ramsey commenced his football career at Welsh club Cardiff City and developed rapidly through the club’s youth academy. He made his first team debut for Cardiff against Hull City in the last home game of the 2006-2007 Championship season and at 16 years and 124 days became the youngest player ever to play for Cardiff City.

Aaron Ramsey signed his first professional contract with Cardiff in December 2007 and made his first full professional debut for the club on January 5, 2008. He went to make a total of 16 league appearances for Cardiff in the 2007-2008 season and was hugely impressive in the FA Cup matches that he featured in.

Ramsey was signed by Arsenal in the summer of 2008 for 4.8 million pounds. He made his competitive first team debut for the Gunners against FC Twente in a UEFA Champions League qualifier and made his Premier League debut against Blackburn Rovers in September 2008.

After loan moves to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, Ramsey cemented himself in the North London club’s starting lineup in 2011-12 and became an integral part of the Arsenal team for years, making more than 350 appearances for the club. He was Arsenal’s Player of the Season in 2013-14 and 2017-18 and helped the side win three FA Cups.

In February 2019, Ramsey agreed to a four-year deal with Juventus, leaving Arsenal in July. However, his time in Turin was underwhelming as he struggled to break into the side with regularity. He spent six months on loan at Rangers in the 2021-22, missing a penalty in the shootout loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final. Ramsey’s contract with mutually terminated in June 2022, before joining Nice as a free agent a week later.

Ramsey made his international debut for Wales in 2008 and has become a mainstay of the side in midfield and as captain, leading them to World Cup qualification in 2022 for the first time since 1958. He also represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.
