West Ham then signed Davenport on a permanent deal in 2007 for a reported 3 million pounds but Davenport again failed to establish himself and served a loan stint at Watford. He has been drafted back into the West Ham first team but is not expected to play too many matches for the Hammers in the Premier League in the 2008-2009 season.
