Aaron William Hughes is a Northern Irish football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Fulham. He plays as a defender. Hughes is also the current Northern Ireland goalkeeper.
Aaron Hughes started his career at Newcastle United in 1997 and played for them until 2005. He established himself as a regular for Newcastle and scored 4 goals in 205 league appearances.
In the summer of 2005, Aaron Hughes was signed by Aston Villa for 1 million pounds and played for two seasons at Villa Park, featuring in 54 Premiership appearances. In the summer of 2007 Aaron Hughes was signed by Fulham. He is a regular for the Londoners.
