Kobbie Mainoo

Kobbie Mainoo is a soccer player playing for Manchester United. He is a England international midfielder.

Club Career

Mainoo grew up in Greater Manchester, with Ghanaian parentage. He started at youth level with Cheadle & Gatley Junior Football Club but joined Manchester United as a nine-year-old.

After spending almost a decade in the United system, Mainoo signed a professional contract with the Red Devils in May 2022. He made his senior United debut in January 2023 against Charlton in the EFL Cup.

Mainoo made a big impression in the 2023-24 season, earning man of the match against Everton and making his UEFA Champions League debut.

He scored his first United goal against Newport in the FA Cup in January 2024. More memorable goals would come, including February's Premier League Goal of the Month against Wolverhampton along with a goal in a pulsating 2-2 draw with rivals Liverpool.

International Career

Mainoo played for England at under-age level and made his senior debut in March 2024 against Brazil. He was named in England's squad for Euro 2024.
