Darwin Nunez is a Uruguayan football player who plays as a forward for Liverpool.
Nunez made his professional debut as a teenager for Penarol in his native Uruguay, having joined their youth setup as a 14-year-old. He debuted as senior level in 2017, going on to join Spanish club Almeria in 2019.
Nunez spent 12 months with Almeria, netting 16 goals in 30 games in the Segunda Division in the 2019-20 season, earning a 24million euro move to Portuguese giants Benfica.

At Benfica, Nunez was outstanding across two seasons, scoring 48 goals in 85 games in all competitions, finishing as the top scorer in the Primeira Liga in 2021-22.
In June 2022, Nunez joined English powerhouse Liverpool on a long-term contract worth a reported 75m euros with 25m euros in add-ons.
