Christian Pulisic is an American professional soccer player. As of the 2025 season, he plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for the Serie A club AC Milan and the United States National Team.
Regarded as one of the best North American players of all time, he is nicknamed "Captain America.”

Christian Mate Pulisic was born on September 18, 1998, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA. The American winger stands 178 cm tall.Widely viewed as the "face" of American soccer, he holds the record for the most U.S. Player of the Year awards (tied with Landon Donovan) and is his country's fifth-highest all-time leading goalscorer.
Career
Pulisic began his professional career at Borussia Dortmund, where he was promoted to the senior team in 2016 at age 17. He became a mainstay in the team that won the 2016–2017 DFB-Pokal.In January 2019, he moved to Chelsea in a transfer worth $73 million, becoming the most expensive North American player of all time. During his time in London, he won the 2020–2021 UEFA Champions League, becoming the first American to play in a Champions League final. He also won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
In June 2023, Pulisic moved to AC Milan, where he won the 2024–2025 Supercoppa Italiana.
At the international level, Pulisic became the youngest player ever to captain the United States at age 20. He has led the team to victory in the CONCACAF Nations League in 2021, 2023, and 2024, winning the tournament's Best Player award in 2023.
