Joshua Kimmich is a German professional footballer who plays as a right-back or defensive midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and captains the Germany National Team.

Joshua Walter Kimmich was born on February 8, 1995, in Rottweil, Germany. The German international stands 177 cm (5 ft 10 in) tall.

In 2022, he married his long-time girlfriend, Lina Meyer; the couple has four children. Off the pitch, Kimmich co-launched the "We Kick Corona" initiative to support charitable institutions during the pandemic and made a cameo appearance in the German crime series Tatort in 2023.

Career

Kimmich came through the youth ranks at Stuttgart before making his senior debut with RB Leipzig. In 2015, he joined Bayern Munich, where he evolved into a world-class player. He was instrumental in Bayern's 2019–20 season, helping the club secure a continental treble consisting of the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League.

His consistent excellence has seen him win numerous Bundesliga titles, including the 2024–25 championship.
