Joshua Kimmich is a soccer player playing for FC Bayern Munich. He is a German defensive midfielder or right-back.
Club career
Kimmich got his break at youth level with VfB Stuttgart, before moving to emerging powerhouse RB Leipzig in 2013, graduating to make his first-team debut in the 3.Liga that season.
In January 2015, Bayern Munich moved to sign Kimmich on a five-year deal for a reported seven million euros. He has since established himself as a key player for Bayern, having been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season five times, helping the Bavarians win seven straight Bundesliga titles.
International career
Kimmich made his Germany debut in 2016. He was part of Germany’s 2018 and 2022 World Cup squads, along with the Euro 2016, Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 squads.
