A professional football player from Brazil, Fernando Galhardo Borges, also known as Fernandinho, plays as a defender on the left-side of defence. Fernandinho began his playing career in 2004, with Cianorte Futebol Clube, and for the next four seasons, would become one of the key players on the team. He moved to Marilia in 2007 but failed to make an impact, resulting in a loan-move to Oeste Futebol Clube in 2008.

That same year, Fernandinho would move, once again, to Vila Nova Futebol Clube on loan, before moving to Vasco da Gama in 2009, once again on loan. He returned to Cianorte to see out the 2009 season and moved to Marilia, on a permanent deal, before the end of the year for 7 games. 2010 began at Oeste, for Fernandinho, and after 20 games, he moved out on loan to Sao Caetano, playing 12 more games before the end of the season.

He spent 2011 on loan to Sport Club do Recife, for 9 games, before moving to Avai Futebol Clube in 2011, for another 11 games. The Avai move was also on loan, a similar pattern to the 2012 move to Palmeiras where Fernandinho has played just 4 games and continues to fight for a place in the first team.
