Wellington da Silva Pinto is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as defender. A promising star for the future, Wellington came through the youth academy at Palmeiras and made his mark as he hit his late teens. He was called into the reserve side in 2010, signing with the Palmeiras B team. His performance as a central defender was good enough to deserve a call to the first team and Wellington made his debut for them in 2010.

However, since making his debut, Wellington has been a part of the first team many times but failed to make his mark on the team. He continues to remain on the fringes, working to find a way into the Palmeiras side. His performances in the Copa Sao Paolo have been the main driving force behind his presence in the reserve squad.
