A professional football player from Brazil, Renan Brito Soares plays as a goalkeeper and is considered a massive prospect for the future. Renan began his playing career at the Internacional youth academy in 2004. Over two years, he was rated as one of the top products to come out of the academy and was pulled into the first team at the age of 20. From 2005 to 2009, Renan was a part of the first team at Internacional.

Even though Internacional went on to win a lot of titles during that period, he only played 33 games during that period, helping the other goalkeepers prepare for their games. In 2008, Renan was picked up by Valencia CF in Spain, but the youngster played only 19 games in three seasons, spending most of these three seasons away on loan.

In 2009-10, he moved to Xerez and played every single game. However, Valencia still wanted him to get more match practice and sent Renan back to Internacional. During his second loan spell at Internacional, Renan made himself the first choice keeper and he helped the team win the 2010 Copa Libertadores title as well as the 2011 and 2012 Campeonato Gaucho titles, and the 2011 Recopa Sudamericana title.

Renan has also been a part of the Brazilian national Under-23 side, playing 8 games for the first team.
