Magno da Cruz
A professional football player who plays as a midfielder, Magno Damasceno Santos da Cruz plays at the highest level in his home country, Brazil. Having begun his youth career at Esporte Clube Vitoria, Magno moved around quite a bit before making his professional debut.
He moved to Esporte Clube Bahia before shifting to Joinville Esporte Clube and then to Cruzeiro in 2005. Magno played at the Cruzeiro youth academy for two seasons before moving to Flamengo in 2008. The travelling wasn’t over yet because even though Magno played his final youth game for Flamengo, his professional debut came with CS Maritimo in Portugal.
Magno was rated quite highly in his youth days but he just couldn’t make the cut in Europe and returned, a year later, without having played a single game. He signed up with Brasil de Pelotas in 2009, where he would warm the reserve bench throughout the season. It wasn’t until the 2009 season, and after moving to Vasco da Gama, that Magno would make his first team debut at the professional level. He would go onto play 13 times over the next two seasons, for Vasco, before being sent out on loan to Esporte Clube Bahia in 2011.
