Aleksander Douglas

Aleksander Douglas de Faria is a goalkeeper who plays as a professional football player in Brazil, his home country. An exciting prospect in the Gremio youth academy, Aleks was bought by Avai Futebol Clube in 2009, and placed into their youth team. In 2009-10, Aleks established himself as the number one goalkeeper for not just the Avai Futebol Clube youth squad, but also the Under-20 Brazilian national team.

In 2011, Aleks was part of the team that won the 2011 South American Youth Championships as well as the team that went on to win the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Although he played just one game during the South American Championships, it was good enough to earn him a spot on the first team squad at Avai Futebol Clube.

He has played five games for the Avai Futebol Clube since his entry into the team in 2010.
