Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at his side’s failure to win against Arsenal in the FA Cup on Monday evening.

Championship club Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat the hands of Premier League outfit Arsenal in the third round of the competition away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

Reiss Nelson scored the only goal of the tie 10 minutes into the second half.

Leeds left-back Douglas has admitted on Twitter that he is disappointed that Marcelo Bielsa’s side failed to win the tie, but he is pleased to have been involved in the game.

Against Arsenal on Monday evening, Douglas, who can also operate as a left wing-back, took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, took 77 touches, and made four tackles.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, hosts Arsenal had 42% of the possession, took 16 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.

Visitors Leeds had 58% of the possession, took 18 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners.

Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in the Championship.
