Felipe Garcia dos Prazeres is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a goalkeeper. Felipe began his playing Santos, in the youth division. Brought into the team in 2005, he quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper of the youth academy. Breaking into the first team in 2006, the 18-year Felipe Garcia was meant to be the third goalkeeper at Santos.

However, he did get his opportunities as injury brought Garcia to the forefront and he didn’t disappoint too much. Garcia did show that he had potential to be a top goalkeeper at the highest level of the game, but was still too young to be the best at Santos. He was picked for the Brazilian Under-20 national team, for the Under-20 South American championships in 2007. He was part of the Sao Paulo State League title winning team in 2006 and 2007, playing his own part with his stand-out performances when replacing the first choice keepers at the club.

Understanding his need for regular action, Garcia decided to move out on loan, in 2009, to Parana Clube. The same year, he went to Portuguese Santista as well, before returning to Santos to provide back-up to the injury-hit goalkeeping squad. In 2011, Garcia was sent out again, to Avai Futebol Clube, where he is looking to gain some valuable playing time under his belt.
