Alberto Aquilani is a young Italian international currently featuring for the Italian giants AS Roma. He progressed through the ranks at Roma and plays as a central midfielder.
Alberto Aquilani is a Romanista, born and bred in Rome, and has always supported Roma. In 2001 when he was just 16, Chelsea came shopping for him but he rejected the large sums of money on offer because his dream was always to play for Roma.
And his dreams did came to be realized on May 10,2003 when he made his debut for Roma against Torino but was loaned to Triestina for the 2003-2004 season. He was recalled to the Roma set-up for the 2004-2005 season but made a slow start and had to miss several months of the 2006-2007 season.
