Gylfi Sigurosson is an Icelandic international football player who currently features for the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. He is a versatile player who can play either as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Sigurosson commenced his professional club football career at English club Reading and was on their books until 2012. He scored 20 goals in 42 league appearances and spent time on loan first at Shrewsbury Town in 2008 and then at Crewe Alexandra in 2009.
In 2010 German outfit Hoffenheim signed Sigurosson, who played for them for one-and-a-half years, scoring nine goals in 36 league appearances. He was sent on loan to Swansea City for the second half of the 2011-12 campaign and the following summer was snapped up by Tottenham.

Sigurosson made his international debut for Iceland in May 2010 against Andorra in a 4-0 victory. Since then he has become a regular for the first team, having scored four goals in 16 matches so far.
