Robert Tesche is a professional football player playing for Hamburger SV as a midfielder. In 1993, Robert began his career in football for the team of VfL Viktoria Menninghuffen. In 2001-02, he moved to Arminia Bielefeld's youth department, and by 2006-07, he moved up to the reserve team.
He is known as one of the most exciting talents of Arminia and made his professional debut under head coach, Ernst Middendorp. This was a match against Borussia Dortmund, when he started in the starting XI and was substituted in the 67th minute.
By May 2007, Robert signed a contract with the team of Arminia Bielefeld for three years. But, in the first days of July 2009, he got a contract from Hamburger SV team. In summer 2009, he signed a three year contract with Hamburger SV team, which was extended for two years in 2011.
He made his Hamburg debut in the away match which was held against the team of VfL Wolfsburg. He was substituted in the 90th minute, to replace Eljero Elia, the goalscorer.
