Patrick van Aanholt is a young Dutch football player who currently features for the Dutch Eredivisie club Vitesse on loan from English and European giants Chelsea. He plays as a left-back.
Van Aanholt developed at the youth academy of FC Den Bosch and then at PSV before moving to England to join Chelsea’s youth set-up. He was part of their youth academy between 2007 and 2009, and then started to be sent out on loan to different clubs to get valuable first-team experiences.
Van Aanholt has played on loan for Coventry City, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Wigan Athletic, and joined Vitesse on loan at the start of the 2012-13 season.
