QPR vs. Man City: Premier League Betting Preview

There is still hope for Queens Park Rangers, despite remaining bottom of the Premier League, and they should make things difficult for Manchester City on Tuesday evening with so much at stake.

Just five points adrift of Aston Villa, who occupy that much coveted seventeenth place in the English top flight, Harry Redknapp has definitely eked out some improvement over the last month or so at Loftus Road and all is not lost just yet.

QPR’s FA Cup thrashing at the hands of League One side MK Dons on Saturday doesn’t read well but it is all about survival and Harry made nine changes on the weekend for the 4-2 defeat.

Prior to that effort Rangers had conceded just once in three Premier League games, a run which saw them take five valuable points from matches against Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham.

Clean sheets against the first named duo indicate Redknapp has resolved some of Rangers’ defensive woes that plagued them earlier in the campaign and the visit of City is a battle of two in-form defences.

It has been five matches in all competitions since the Premier League champions last conceded and while the loss of captain Vincent Kompany through injury is a blow, City have more than enough cover to cope without the Belgian.

With Manchester United not in action until Wednesday, City have the chance to close the gap at the top to just two points with victory but it wont be easy and I see a low-scoring clash being played out.

City, no bigger than 1.50 for the win, would take three points however they might come and I am surprised to see odds against offered about the match featuring two goals or less.
