Allegri Demands AC Milan Patience

Under-pressure AC Milan boss Max Allegri has asked for time and patience ahead of the club’s important UEFA Champions League clash with Malaga.

Under-pressure AC Milan boss Max Allegri has asked for time and patience ahead of the club’s important UEFA Champions League clash with Malaga.

Milan have only managed to claim four points from their opening three European games, while they are currently 11th in Serie A, with 14 points from 11 matches, including five defeats.

The club have battled this term since the departure of key men Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva but Allegri insisted they are rebuilding with players like Stephen Al Shaarawy and Bojan Krkic but he just needs time.

“No team is built in two months,” he told reporters. “I knew it was going to take time, I was just hoping that results would go our way and that luck was going to be on our side, which unfortunately did not happen.

“Give me your patience and at the end of the year Milan will be very competitive, I am sure of that.”

Ahead of the Malaga clash at the San Siro, Allegri admitted the Spanish side, who have a perfect record so far, are likely to progress, but was hopeful they could turn around their 1-0 loss in Spain.

“Malaga are certainly favourites to go through to the next round but the group is still wide open,” he said.
