AS Roma defender Christian Panucci is set to leave the Italian club in the summer, as his agent has revealed.
Panucci’s agent Oscar Darmiani has explained in clear terms that his agent is not happy with his current situation at the club and would be tempted to leave the club. Panucci and coach Luciano Spalleti have not been seeing eye to eye for over a month, ever since the Italian defender’s outburst at being told that he would start the Italian Serie A match against Napoli on the bench.
The former AC Milan and Real Madrid defender did issue a public apology but he has still be ignored by his club coach. Speaking to LaRoma24.it, the player’s agent Oscar Darmiani said, “The situation, as you know, has not changed. Christian is doing his duty, as he is still affiliated with the club and there isn’t much else to add as Spalletti has also claimed nothing has changed.
“I repeat that I do not see the proper conditions [for a contract renewal]. I don’t think there will be any substantial changes with regards to this affair.”
