Jordan Henderson Reacts to Liverpool Win Against RB Leipzig

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to his side’s win against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Defending Premier League champions Liverpool got the better of Bundesliga outfit Leipzig 2-0 away from home in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

The game was played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest due to Covid-19 restrictions, but it counted as a home match for Leipzig.

After a goalless first half, Egypt international forward Mohamed Salah put Liverpool in the lead in the 53rd minute when latched onto a loose back-pass and finished well.

Senegal international forward Sadio Mane took advantage of a fluffed attempted clearance from Nordi Mukiele to break through and side-foot past Peter Gulacsi just five minutes later.

Henderson, who is a midfielder by trade but played as a central defender against Leipzig, has given his take on the final result on Instagram, warning that the tie is far for over, with the second leg to be played on March 10.
