Everton got the better of Premier League rivals Tottenham 5-4 after extra time at Goodison Park in the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition.
It was a very exciting and entertaining game of football which was decided by substitute Bernard’s goal in the seventh minute of extra time.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison (two) and Gylfi Sigurdsson (penalty) were the other goalkeepers for hosts Everton.
Davinson Sanchez (two), Erik Lamela and Harry Kane found the back of the net for Spurs.
Lineker played for both Everton and Tottenham, and the former England international striker has given his take on the final result on Twitter.
Belting game and a great win for @Everton but it couldve gone either way. Football is so much more enjoyable when both sides just go for it. Well played all.
