Brendan Rodgers’s team got the better of Newcastle 3-0 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Easy Win
Perez, who joined the Foxes from the Magpies in the summer transfer window, put the visiting side in the lead in the 36th minute when he took advantage of a bad pass from Florian Lejeune.
James Maddison doubled the advantage for Leicester just three minutes later when he hammered the ball home from the edge of the box after Lejeune failed to clear it away.
Leicester wrapped up the scoring three minutes from the full time when Hamza Choudhury scored with a brilliant curling effort.
Delight
Perez, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, is delighted with the win for Leicester, and the 26-year-old Spaniard has also stated on Twitter that he was pleased to see some familiar faces on his return to Newcastle.
