The Pakistani entry for the A1 Grand Prix is A1 Team Pakistan, and its launch was one of the most impressive. The team car was presented in front of the Lahore Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Star guest of the event was none other than, Mr. Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan, and the event was hosted by Arif Hussain, team Chairman, and Chaudry Salik Hussain, team Managing Director.
22-year old, Adam Khan was called back to driver for the team as lead driver for the third season, Bobby Issazadhe, as manger. The last season, Nur Ali was the lead driver, and he was a pleasing character, but it was the performance given by Khan, during the previous A1 GP which has resulted in his comeback behind the wheel.
In the 2007-08 season, A1 Team Pakistan revealed a new livery, which will be used for the forthcoming season, which is to be held at Zandvoort, Netherlands. Hosting the opening round of the new season, the Dutch city gave the perfect platform for the Pakistani team to unveil its new look.
The dark green paint scheme, complete with the national flag crescent and star, distinguishes the car from the remaining 21 countries participating in the A1 GP series.
