The Swiss team for the A1 GP is, A1 Team Switzerland, which is owned by Max Welti. Since the 2005 season, the team driver has been Neel Jani. Natcha Gachnang and Rahel Frey are the first two female drivers of A1 Grand Prix, who have driven during the race weekend. Both began as test drivers, during Silverstone, in the 18th-19th weekend in, September 2007. Natacha went on to drive in the rookie sessions during the Czech round, on 12th October, 2007, whereas Rahel Frey, drove in the Malaysian rookie seasons, in November, 2007.
