Hendrick Motorsports have been a major player in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series not just as a team that races their cars, but also as a strong technical advisory and engine manufacturer.
The team is owned by Rick Hendrick while Jeff Gordon and Mary Hendrick are classified as owners for a car each (#48 and #5 respectively). The team has a vibrant and colourful history that has been pleasantly riddled with silverware. The team has already accumulated seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championships in addition to three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series titles as well as a Busch Series crown as well.

The team takes pride in the fact that they manufacture all their cars from scratch at their 62-acre headquarters and manufacturing complex. With over 500 employees carrying out their daily operations, the team has manufactured, and repaired, more than 700 engines that are built or re-built on-site each year. The team is also a major player when it comes to leasing out those engines to other teams for their racing needs.
The team’s headquarters house a 15,000 square foot museum and team store that is also handled and maintained by it’s employees along with duties pertaining to the team website, marketing, public relations, sponsors, licensing, show cars as well as merchandising.
