The Spaniard's name has become synonymous with 'steady' and 'dependable' over the years that he has been on the circuit. Marc Marti started rally racing as a co-driver in 1992. He spent eight wonderful and productive years with Oriel Gomez. The duo drove front wheel drive Peugeots, Renaults and Seats, on their way to the World Rally Championships.
Marti parted ways with Gomex in 1999, when he got a call from the Citroen Total World Rally Team. Jesus Puras, known as the 'king of asphalt' became his partner in his first year with the Citroen team. The relationship didn't last long, but only for good reasons. Carlos Sainz had lost his co-driver and long time partner, Luis Moya to a bad injury that occurred during training. Sainz was in search of a driver to fill in the empty seat and Marti was perfect for the profile.

Sainz took Marti on as part of his team and after 2003, when Moya and Sainz stopped working with each other, Marti was the natural pick to fill in the new vacancy next to Sainz. Things didn't change for Sainz as Marti helped the Spaniard maintain his long established winning record.

Sainz retired at the end of 2004 and then Marti took over as notes-reader for Sainz's protégé, Dani Sordo. The duo was incredibly fast as they went onto win the Junior World Rally Championhips in 2005. They were promoted to the World Rally Championships class in 2006 and they displayed blistering pace throughout the season. The duo drove the Xsara WRC with a lot of determination in 2007 and ended up with 4th place in the overall drivers' standings.

2008 will be no different as the pair of Sordo and Marti will continue to show off their true blazing form throughout the season in their attempt to better their fourth placed finish last year.
