Career
He turned pro in 2003 and in his career, he has fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Sengoku Raiden Championship, Bellator MMA, and Strikeforce.His first official fight was a win against Brandon Bledsoe in May 2003. Since then, he has earned a mixed martial arts record of 35 wins in 51 fights. He started his career fighting for the Absolute Fighting Championship and had wins against Julian Ortega and Justin Wisniewski to name a few. In 2006, he had two fights for Bodog Fight and one in 2007. In 2009, he fought for Bellator MMA three times before joining Sengoku.
He joined Strikeforce in 2007 and had wins against Matt Lee and Brant Rose. Next, he started fighting for Sengoku but returned to Strikeforce a short time later. He was still fighting for Strikeforce when it was absorbed into the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
His first opponent in the UFC was Tim Means. He defeated Means in April 2013. As of 2023, he is still fighting for the UFC. Some of the fighters he’s defeated include Nate Diaz, Darren Till, Ross Pearson, and Ben Askren. He is scheduled to go up against Gilbert Burns in April 2023.
