Al Iaquinta, nicknamed “Raging”, is an American retired mixed martial arts fighter from New York. He used to fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Al Iaquinta was born on April 30, 1987, in Valley Stream, New York in the United States. For most of his career, he fought out of Wantagh, New York. He stands 178 cm tall and has as long a reach. His weight was last listed at 70 kg and he fought in the lightweight division.

He is affiliated with the Serra-Longo Fight Team and he has a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was trained by Matt Sera.

Career

Iaquinta turned pro in February 2009 and won against Mervin Rodriguez for Ring of Combat. He fought for ROC until he lost to Pat Audinwood in November 2011.

In 2012, he had three exhibition fights in the UFC in March and May. He won all four fights. They were against Jon Tuck, Myles Jury, Andy Ogle, and Vinc Pichel.

He officially joined the UFC afterward and in June 2012, he lost to Michael Chiesa. He has fought for the UFC since and has won against the likes of Jorge Masvidal, Ross Pearson, Diego Sanchez, and Kevin Lee. In 2019, he had two losses. He took time off from MMA and returned in November 2021 and lost to Bobby Green.
